Automotive pros at the wheel of bodyshop Awards 2020
bodyshop is delighted that National Ladies Champion Rally Driver Penny Mallory and respected automotive industry expert Jason Dawe will be presenting the bodyshop Awards 2020 on 29 April.
Mallory and Dawe are the perfect fit for this event as a formidable pair both together and apart in the field of automotive journalism and television presentation.
Against all the odds Mallory made her childhood dream come true when she became the first woman in the world to compete in a World Rally Car for Ford in the World Rally Championship. She remains the only woman to have achieved this. Many of our award winners and 30 under 30: rising stars have shown a similar level of commitment and refusal to quit to be at the top of their game.
Dawe is a published author, having written a column for the Sunday Times for more than 10 years and been guest editor for publications such as Top Gear Magazine and Motor Trade News.
We know they will bring to our digital event the same inimitable on-screen chemistry and humorous banter with which they delighted television audiences of programmes such as Used Car Roadshow.
Breaking the mould of many online awards shows, Mallory and Dawe will be encouraging viewers to get involved using social media and online tools.
Talking to bodyshop editor Simon Wait, they said: “Forget sitting at home staring at the screen with each award popping up one after the other. We want to create a true sense of occasion and celebration where everyone has a voice and a part to play. Let’s all put on our glad rags and cheer on the finalists and winners as one big, happy industry family.”
