Fix Auto opens in Leeds
Sam Smith and Stephen Smith, directors of three Fix Auto bodyshops in Settle, Bradford South and Keighley, have opened their first express bodyshop in Leeds, West Yorkshire.
The 8,000 sqft repair centre, situated close to Leeds City Centre, will operate as Fix Auto Leeds South, and will form part of the growing Fix & Go network of fast repair centres.
After receiving an investment of over £300,000, the new bodyshop will focus on the fast repair of non-structurally damaged vehicles, and will have the capacity to repair up to 60 cars a month.
The site will be managed by Liz Sunderland – previously the vehicle damage assessor at Fix Auto Bradford South – who will be supported by three newly-appointed operatives, an apprentice panel technician and a valet driver.
Commenting on the opening of the business’ fourth site, Sam said, ‘While we still firmly believe in the necessity of our existing bodyshops, our own data and customer feedback shows we had a need for a repair centre that is dedicated to the fast turnaround of non-structurally damaged vehicles.’
‘It is a significant investment for the business but one that we believe is crucial to our continued growth in order to provide the complete service to our insurer clients and their policyholder customers in West Yorkshire.’
Ian Pugh, of Fix Auto UK said, ‘What Sam and Stephen have achieved in Leeds is another major development for the Fix Auto network, providing us with repair capacity in another of the UK’s major cities. The Fix Auto network contains many entrepreneurial and innovative owner-drivers who are looking to expand their footprint and capacity, which dovetails perfectly with our own plans to grow our national, branded network.’
