JLR expects better sales in 2015

Jaguar Land Rover expects this year’s sales to exceed last year’s as Britain, Europe and North America should help compensate for a sharp decline in China, according to chief executive Ralf Speth.

He told journalists at the Frankfurt auto show, ‘We definitely expect 2015 to grow… but it is too early to give you a number.’

Jaguar Land Rover’s sales are down 1 per cent so far this year compared with the same period last year.

In an attempt to improve sales at JLR, the company has officially unveiled its F-Pace SUV at Frankfurt. This will be the first SUV in the company’s 80 year history and one that has the potential to more than double its annual sales, thanks to the recent rise in popularity of the SUV market.
