Ford is favourite internet car
OSV have analysed a ton of internet search data and found the UK’s most popular car brand of 2015 so far
Vehicle supply company OSV Ltd has conducted a research report to find the most searched car brands in the UK at the start of 2015.
The research report shows that evergreen favourite Ford is still the most popular car brand of UK internet users. This was followed by BMW who captured 2nd place, while Audi, took third. We suspect that BMW’s I8, recently crowned Car of the Year 2015, had something to do with the silver medal and the first official images and details of the allnew Audi R8 have helped secure bronze. Vauxhall took 4th place and MercedesBenz came in 5th. Honda and Nissan narrowly missed out on a top spot but with 10 months left of the year, it will be interesting to see how these results change and compare to car sales figures.
Ford topping the chart will come as no surprise as the Fiesta and Focus are two of Britain’s favourite cars and regularly top the car sales charts.
With the Vauxhall Corsa and Astra usually next in car sales, it will be interesting for many to see that Vauxhall is only in 4th position.
How does demand for car brands correspond to supply?
Interestingly, there is very little correlation. At the time of writing, there are 496 MercedesBenz cars (5th most popular) listed for sale on OSV Ltd, but only 356 Ford cars. There are also significantly more BMW cars for sale (1,374) than there are Fords.
