Plasnomic appoints Brian Driehorst as CEO

Plasnomic, an initiative dedicated to revolutionising plastic repairs in the industry, has appointed Brian Driehorst as CEO.
Driehorst, who joins from Headlights.com, will lead the organisation’s mission to establish global standards, certification and compliance for plastic repairs.
He said:
“The future of collision repair and emerging materials is evolving, and plastic repair must evolve with it. At Plasnomic, we are committed to unifying the industry by setting new benchmarks for quality, consistency and environmental responsibility.
“By bringing together industry experts, specialty suppliers and innovators from around the world, we will shape a new era of OEM-friendly repair solutions that enhance efficiency and reduce waste.”
Best practice
Plasnomic’s first major initiative will be the formation of a multi-layered global advisory board and a network of technical ambassadors. This alliance will bring together plastic repair and collision experts, training bodies, specialty suppliers and leading paint companies to collaboratively define best practices, drive the adoption of standardised solutions across global markets, and evolve repair standards through innovation, research and sustainability efforts.
Its short-term goals include ensuring OEM-compatible methodologies and introducing specialised repair tools and materials, while also exploring the implementation of automation, AI-driven solutions and mobile applications to elevate plastic repair knowledge.
Plasnomic will also partner with local training bodies and OEMs to provide bodyshops with the necessary training and tooling to repair plastic components such as bumper covers, headlights and textured parts using standardised methodologies.
