Glasurit introduces new fast-drying AraClass clearcoat
Glasurit, the premium refinish paint brand from BASF, has introduced the innovative new AraClass clearcoat to bring a new level of process speed and reduced energy consumption for bodyshops. Formulated to ensure the highest product quality and the shortest time to polish at 40ºC, the new clearcoat meets the highest requirements of today’s repairers.
This new Glasurit clearcoat continues to support customer growth, helping them become more competitive while at the same time improving their environmental footprint and driving overall performance.
AraClass clearcoat
The AraClass A-C-24 Eco Balance Clear Coat delivers a unique combination of exceptional drying speed, lower energy consumption and enhanced profitability.
Bodyshops will be able to cut their usual drying time in half – with the clearcoat ready in just 20 minutes at 40ºC, or in 10 minutes at 60ºC.
When combined with Glasurit undercoats, this lower temperature process is ideal for electric vehicles as it cuts exposure to excessive heat. Plus there’s no extra hardener needed for the basecoat, reducing costs.
This new clearcoat is manufactured using Glasurit’s advanced new Chemcycling technology by Eco Balance. It uses raw materials created from recycled waste tyres to replace fossil feedstocks. The recycled feedstock is attributed to the certified clearcoat through a mass balance approach. This contributes to a circular economy with up to 40% less CO2 per kilogram of product.
