IAAF Enrichment Days launch at Delphi Training Academy
IAAF Enrichment Days have been launched to tackle the skills gap in the sector by promoting the automotive aftermarket to schools and colleges.
As part of the new initiative, which complements the IAAF Training Academy and is aimed at addressing the skills gap in the sector, students will visit IAAF member businesses across the UK to gain first-hand insights into the sector.
This will enable to them to explore the cutting-edge technology used within bodyshops while also learning about the varied roles available within the industry.
Mark Field, chief executive of the Independent Automotive Aftermarket Federation, said: “The automotive aftermarket offers hugely varied career options across many roles, and it’s time we shone a light on these opportunities.
“These enrichment days highlight to schools and colleges the scale and expertise across the entire aftermarket supply chain and support these institutions in bridging a gap between education and employment.”
The first Enrichment Day took place at Delphi Training Academy in Warwick, attended by students from the Heart of Worcestershire College.
