Momentum builds for first NBRA Equipment Expo

AGEAS/NBRA Equipment Expo

The UK body repair industry is gearing up for the first AGEAS/NBRA Equipment Expo, which will take place on 19 February at the Arnold Clark-owned GTG Training Centre in Wolverhampton.

More than 45 exhibitors will be on hand, alongside Bodyshop Magazine and I Love Claims, in a trade show organised around a village theme where each “village” represents different equipment and products for the body repair sector.

At the heart of the show will be a “town centre” and “school” area that will showcase apprenticeship learning organisations including AutoRaise, Thatcham Research, Emtec, School of Thought, Apprenticeship Central and AutoTech Training.

NBRA executive director Martyn Rowley (pictured below) told Bodyshop Magazine:

“It’s going to be a good old-fashioned equipment expo – no talks, no panel discussions, just stands with equipment and services on show for everyone to go round and see what’s on offer. And it’s open to everybody in our industry, not just NBRA members.

“In conjunction with AGEAS, we’re doing this for repairers to showcase the suppliers we’ve got in our industry – all the new products and innovations that are out there. We’ve got every part of the supply chain covered from distribution to green parts, from paint to plastic welding,” he added.

Other suppliers exhibiting include diagnostics services, dry goods and consumables, recycling, jigs and welding equipment, glue pulling, spraybooths and servicing, spray guns, and general bodyshop equipment.

The number of repairers who have registered to attend is already approaching the 500-mark, which Rowley described as a “lovely” attendance figure.

The event gets under way at 10:00am on 19 February and will run until 4:00pm. There is a café on site, refreshments will be available during the day, and Morelli Group will be bringing along its ever-popular coffee and goodies cart.
