DriveTec rotating electrics range launched by GSF Car Parts
GSF Car Parts has launched a brand-new rotating electrics range through its DriveTec aftermarket brand. The DriveTec rotating electrics will cover both starter motors and alternators.
The parts are built with high quality components and precision manufacturing, allowing GSF to offer all SKUs in the range with a 36,000-mile, three-year warranty on the “fit-and-forget” products.

The units are manufactured with completely new parts. Workshops aren’t required to return old units with a surcharge, saving precious time. However, GSF does offer a recycling scheme to reduce environmental waste.
There are 376 SKUs focused on a broad range of passenger and light commercial vehicles (LCVs). 70% of the vehicle parc is covered with fitment for 50 manufacturers, with a focus on older applications.
The new DriveTec rotating electrics starter motors feature a premium-grade solenoid for increased conductivity, and a precision-machined, upgraded steel shaft to deliver exceptional durability. Premium materials, larger wires and automotive-grade brushes ensure optimal efficiency and long-lasting performance for demanding automotive applications.
DriveTec alternators are engineered for performance and durability, housing a premium voltage regulator and a high-output rectifier assembly to deliver reliable power delivery. Furthermore, OE bearings include a triple lip seal and high-temperature grease for excellent durability. Every part is tested to meet OEM standards of reliability and performance.
OEM standards
Hardik Solanki, senior category manager at GSF Car Parts, said of the DriveTec rotating electrics range:
“With this range, DriveTec has one of the most competitive rotating electrics lineups. While it’s not a new concept to offer these components completely brand new, we’re confident that this launch represents the best rotating electrics products on the market today. The test report is included in the box, which shows how each unit must meet OEM standards before it leaves the factory. DriveTec offers garages an alternative to using remanufactured components and removes the step of having to refund surcharges.”
Steve Horne, CEO of GSF Car Parts, added: “We’re excited to have this range of starter motors and alternators join the DriveTec line-up for 2025. The new range of rotating electrics is a strategic addition, and reflects our ongoing investment in the DriveTec brand, with more product launches planned for the year ahead.”
