Fix Auto UK managing director Ian Pugh has been appointed as group managing director for the newly formed Advantage Group of Companies. The UK-based group encompasses Fix Auto UK, Advantage Parts Solutions UK, and Fix Auto UK’s division of owned repair centres.
With immediate effect, this appointment marks an evolutionary step in the group’s journey, bringing together key elements of the businesses under a single, unified, leadership to drive greater synergy, efficiency, and innovation.

While Fix Auto UK and Advantage Parts Solutions will maintain their individual identities, Advantage Group aims to collectively deliver value to the sector as a multi-faceted operation pairing relatable entities, parts and repairs, into a combined unique solution for the industry and other repair groups in the UK.
Under the new structure, Fix Auto UK’s operations director Mark Hutchins and commercial director Rob Pugh will continue to report to Ian Pugh, as will Andy Smith, who was appointed managing director of Advantage Parts Solutions last year, and Earle Avann, who heads up the group of corporately owned repair centres.
Advantage Parts Solutions originates from Canada and began operations in 1988. It then expanded into the US in 1993 which was followed by its entrance into the UK market in 1994. Today, the business is a leading global OEM parts sales, service and marketing solutions provider.
