BCA reports high vehicle buyer demand

BCA has reported a sales spike in the week between Christmas and New Year, with high vehicle buyer demand continuing into 2025.

Across the final week  of 2024 sales volumes rose by over seven per cent compared to 2023 with more than 6,000 customers logging in to its online sales programme.

Stuart Pearson, BCA COO UK said: “BCA once again staged live online auctions between Christmas and New Year as well as offering a range of fresh-to-market stock via BCA Bid Now, Buy Now, meaning our buyer customers were able to replenish stock and prepare for the uplift in retail activity typically seen in the New Year.

“While much of the remarketing industry suspended operations across the festive period, BCA once again gave our customers the best possible chance to get ahead and plan a fast and profitable start to 2025.

“In spite of some challenging weather conditions across the UK, the New Year has started in a buoyant mood with positive buyer engagement driving strong residual values and conversions in the first full trading week of sales in 2025. The market positivity and generally stable pricing that we saw for much of 2024 has certainly rolled into the New Year and there’s every expectation for a few strong months ahead.”
