Fix Auto Hereford opens for business as part of an MSO
Fix Auto Hereford is finally open for business – completing the ambition of owner Kevin Dunlop who joined the Fix Auto UK network 20 months ago.
The new centre is a significant move for Dunlop who joined the network in March 2023 as the owner of Fix Auto Tewkesbury. Upon joining, he outlined his ambition to join the ranks of the multi-site operators and earlier this year revealed his plans to develop his Hereford site situated close to the heart of the historic city.
Fix Auto Hereford opens doors
Six months after receiving the keys to what was a dilapidated former warehouse, Dunlop is now operating out of a 5,500-sqft state-of-the-art repair facility. Crucially, Dunlop and his team have sailed through the pre-audit process for his BS10125 certification and are now preparing for their final audit scheduled for early next month.
Dunlop said about Fix Auto Hereford:
“I am so delighted to be here in Hereford standing in my new repair centre. It has taken me a little longer than expected simply because as we pulled back layers of the old building we uncovered various unforeseen issues that slowed our progress down. That said, I really couldn’t be happier with the way things have turned out.”
The layout of the centre is designed to provide efficient throughput of work with damaged vehicles being driven in from a secured compound and then driven out of the spray booth directly into the quality control inspection area. When fully operational, Dunlop expects to repair more than 50 vehicles a month from the site.
