Revive! Southport celebrates one-year anniversary

Revive! Southport is celebrating its one-year anniversary, with owner Andrew Hood saying the decision to set up his own franchise has changed his life.

After nearly two decades in car sales, he decided to go it alone just over a year ago and the results have been remarkable.

Turnover and demand in the first 12 months have exceeded expectations – he is currently booked up for the next two months – and he now has plans to employ a second technician to support continued growth. Looking longer term, he wants to expand the business to become a five-van operation.

He said: “I have a plan and it’s working.”

Hood attributes his success to the support he has received from Revive! plus the experience gained over nearly 20 years in the industry as a car salesman working for many of the large dealerships in the area.

He said: “I speak their language and understand what they are after. They’re looking for speed, they’re looking for price, they’re looking for somebody to just take the vehicle off and get it sorted.”

Meanwhile, after years of working weekends, Hood has also said the decision to set up his own business has restored his work-life balance.

He said:

“One of the biggest highlights for me since launching my Revive! business is getting my life back. For the past 17 years I was in car sales, working every weekend, which meant I missed out on a lot of family time.”
