Farecla Bonnet Painting Competition

Farécla will tomorrow (Friday, 11 October) be announcing the winner of the Farecla Bonnet Painting Competition 2024 in a special livestream presentation of the Grand Final starting at 12:00 noon on YouTube Premiere (@fareclaproductsltd).

Farécla has once again created and hosted a series of bonnet painting competitions to highlight and reward the amazing skills of the current crop of young painters in automotive refinishing and the aftermarket.

The broadcast will be about 10-12 minutes long and includes a brief overview of the competition, a recap of the judges, a spotlight on each of the finalist’s bonnets, announcing the winner of the multimedia award, and the reveal of Farécla’s Grand Final winner and runner-up.

2024’s final five have already arrived at Farécla HQ in Ware where it will be the job of the recently announced judging panel: to decide and announce the winner. This year’s judges are:

  • Mick Finch (senior technical service specialist in Vehicle Finishes EMEA for AkzoNobel Coatings).
  • Richard Hutchins (skills competition manager for the Institute of the Motor Industry).
  • Daryl Head (group talent facilitator at ZIGUP/FMG Repair Services and 2017 WorldSkills Abu Dhabi silver medallist).
  • Tom French (graphic design and brand manager for Farécla Products).

£1,000 cash prize

The winner of the 2024 Farecla Bonnet Painting Competition will receive £1,000 in cash, a Cordless Farécla G Plus Polishing Machine and the complete Farécla G360 Super Fast Polishing System.
