NBRA secures training discounts for members
The NBRA has agreed training discounts for its members at a number of providers.
The industry body hopes this will address the skills shortage in the sector, which is particularly acute when it comes to trained EV and ADAS technicians.
The announcement comes just days after the Institute of the Motor Industry warned that just two per cent of technicians in the UK are qualified to work of ADAS-equipped vehicles. That equates to only 4,425 individuals.
The courses available on discount to NBRA members include IMI Level 3 Hybrid EV, IMI Level 3 Truck EV, IMI ADAS AOM 230, IMI Alignment AOM 012, IMI Jig Align AOM 032, GTG Truck Alignment, and FMGRS Plastic Welding.
Other subjects are also available at certain venues, with further information available on the NBRA website.
Among the training companies hosting the discounted courses are GTG Edinburgh, GTG Glasgow (Light), GTG Glasgow (Heavy), GTG West Midlands, FMGRS Training, RWC Training, Northwest Automotive Training Solutions, Revamp Training, S & B Automotive Academy, Logistics UK, and EV Automotive Training.
