Trak Global Security Solutions bolsters leadership team

Trak Global Security Solutions has announced its first two major appointments since a successful management buyout earlier in the year.

The Crewe-based company has appointed Dougie Watt as its new chief operations officer and Neil Phillips as its chief financial officer.

Both will report directly to managing director Dave Turnock.

The appointments underpin the company’s intention to add new sectors to its portfolio of clients having forged a leading position as a telematic security service provider to the vehicle lease and rental sectors.

Turnock said:

“When we successfully led our management buyout I went on record as saying that, while Trak has achieved notable success for a while it had become something of a sleeping giant. Appointing Dougie and Neil will undoubtedly help to awaken that giant.  We have an aggressive business plan in place have made no secret of our intensions to target the new sectors along with continuing to build upon our existing platform founded from success within the vehicle leasing and rental sectors.”

Turnock continued: “Both have unrivalled knowledge and expertise in their respective fields. Their knowledge and vision align perfectly with our strategic goals. Having both on board we will undoubtedly help to accelerate our growth and innovation in the asset security sector.”

Watt added: “I am excited to once again be a part of the Trak journey and at such a pivotal time, too. Dave, and his business partner Andy Christopher, have been extremely open and shared their vision for the company, specifically their intentions to expand their operation into new sectors and it is an exciting proposition. The infrastructure is here, TGSS has a solid base in a telematic SVR business that is undoubtedly a market leader in the vehicle leasing and rental sectors. Targeting the asset protection arena is that natural next step.”

Phillips concluded:

“These are certainly exciting times for the sector and particularly for Trak. The platform from which TGSS is based upon is, in my opinion, unrivalled and I am just delighted to be on board.”
