Silverlake wins awards for its green business practices

Silverlake Automotive Recycling has been recognised for its commitment to sustainability and the environment, receiving two awards in seven days at both a national and regional level.

At the national UK Green Business Awards 2024 on 12 June, Silverlake was a finalist in the Circular Economy Project of the Year Award, alongside household names such as Decathlon, Screwfix and Lombard. Silverlake received a highly commended certificate for its “innovation and partnership approach to the supply of reclaimed parts to the bodyshop market”.  Screwfix was also highly commended while Decathlon won the overall award.

On 18 June, at the regional Solent250 Business Awards 2024, Silverlake won the Climate and Sustainability Award for the company’s “dedication to eco-conscious practices, commitment to environmental stewardship and contribution to climate action within the automotive recycling industry”.

The company is accredited to ISO 14001 Environment Management System and its Environment Policy is under continual management review, focused on minimising carbon emissions together with any other harmful or wasteful practices.
