HELLA backs Ben in Race Across Britain
HELLA has raised more than £6,400 for automotive industry charity Ben after two teams took part in the ‘Race Across Britain’ challenge.
The event took place from 26-28 February, with teams of two from across the sector following a route around the Britain without planning, planes or smartphones, and limited budgets.
The HELLA teams included national sales manager Steve Hudson and head of sales Julian Goulding, as well as Helen Goldingay, marketing and communications manager, and Simone Brooks, head of customer services.
Goldingay said: “This was a fantastic charity event. It provided a platform for us to come together, showcase our resilience, and contribute to a cause that supports our industry when it needs it most. We’d like to add a heartfelt appreciation to all participants, supporters, and sponsors who have rallied behind the charity event, demonstrating the strength of solidarity within the automotive sector.”
To support the charity further, the HELLA teams engaged in additional challenges along the way to bolster their budget including the respraying of a vehicle wing in virtual reality, a ‘Ben bear hunt’ and a ‘code breaker’ prize draw, before finishing 22nd and 23rd.
