Motoring Hall of Fame celebrates IMI CEO

IMI CEO Steve Nash has been inducted into The Motoring Hall of Fame in recognition of the work he has carried out leading the professional body.

The Motoring Hall of Fame recognises individuals and businesses that have made a valuable contribution to the wider automotive industry, especially in improving safety and diversity and inspiring innovation.

Nash has headed up the IMI since 2012, during which time membership has grown from 10,000 to 90,000,

He has championed investment in skills training, from apprenticeships to continuous professional development, and worked tirelessly to create a strong career path for those working in the automotive retail sector and attract new talent in the face of a growing skills gap.

He said: “I am honoured to be inducted into The Motoring Hall of Fame, placed alongside some truly great names in the industry. I am committed to helping to improve standards in our industry and the service we provide to motorists and will continue to champion the importance of professionally competent technicians to support the evolution of the motor industry and the growth of the sector, whatever challenges may lie ahead.”
