Ingenia announces University partnership
Ingenia Recruitment has announced a new partnership with Sunderland University and senior managers at automotive dealers in the area to promote the industry to future graduates.
Included in the initiative with the university Ingenia Recruitment is Anthony Rockingham, managing director of Croxdale Group, Richard Hyde, head of business of Lookers Audi, and Billy Upton, general sales manager of Stoneacre Newcastle.
It is hoped this collaboration will lead to new talent entering the industry, bringing with them key digital skills.
Steve Shaw, director of Ingenia Recruitment, said: “The automotive industry offers a fantastic career path, and has changed significantly in the last two years.
“In terms of sales, advanced technology was introduced to make the process of purchasing a vehicle easier, and a more seamless experience. The industry saw a major shift towards online sales in 2020; we knew online sales was all to come in the future, but Covid sped this process up dramatically.
“Now, online has become an essential tool for dealers and increasingly manufacturers, and these days, when it comes to recruiting, dealers are increasingly looking for people who are social media savvy and able to draw customers in online.”
