TrustFord angling for charity triumph
TrustFord has continued its commitment to supporting the wider community by raising over £1,850 for Cancer Research UK.
It achieved this through its annual fishing match in Scunthorpe, which saw 26 anglers compete for the biggest catch.
Sales director David Cox reeled in an impressive of 236lb and 13oz of fish to win, while in second place was Duncan Gailis-Field, a senior technician at TrustFord’s Long Marston site with aftersales manager Jordan Nelson third.
Cox said: “What originally started off as an idea to raise money for CRUK, has developed into an incredibly successful and popular annual event. As much as it is about creating some healthy competition, it is an opportunity to help raise vital funds for a fantastic charity. I would like to personally thank everyone who got involved and more importantly, those who have donated.”
Stuart Mustoe, acting chairman and chief executive officer and finance director, said: “At TrustFord being a good corporate citizen is a very natural part of how we do business and I’m delighted to see our colleagues embody this through the annual fishing match, raising funds for vital research. A big thank you to everyone who made a donation to this fantastic cause.”
