Fix furthers Yorkshire footprint

Fix Auto UK has purchased Station Garage in Castleford, West Yorkshire, from founders Brian and Ann Frost who are retiring from the industry.

The eighth addition to its portfolio of repair centres and the third in Yorkshire, will operate as Fix Auto Castleford.

Spread over two connecting units totalling more than 10,000 sqft of workspace with two spraybooths and secure parking for more than 30 vehicles, all nine members of staff who have served the couple for many years will remain with the business.

Fix Auto UK’s managing director Ian Pugh, said: “Establishing Fix Auto Castleford is the continued execution of our strategy to create scale either by organic growth with new franchisees or via acquisition. The business sits perfectly between our repair centres in Barnsley and Goole and underpins our position in Yorkshire.

“Brian and Ann have created a fantastic operation, which we are now in the process of rebranding. As with all our previous acquisitions, we are also investing in the latest technology and equipment to maximise efficiency. I wish them all the best in their well-earned retirement and look forward to working with the team there.”

Brian Frost said: “We’ve had an extremely good run, but now I feel it is time to sit back and enjoy my retirement. The staff have all served us so well, my priority was to ensure their security going forward. Fix Auto UK has so much drive and ambition it’s infectious and I am sure the business is in the best possible hands.”
