SVA pledges £10,000 to children’s hospice
Shoreham Vehicle Auctions (SVA) has pledged a minimum £10,000 to its long-standing charity auction partner The Chestnut Tree House Children’s Hospice (CTH) as part of its 10th anniversary annual fundraising efforts.
Despite a challenging time faced by all in the wake of the Covid-19 pandemic, the south coast independent vehicle remarketing operator is rising to the challenge of supporting the incredible work of CTH and is calling on all south coast used vehicle dealers and businesses to get behind its efforts.
This year will once again see SVA host charity vehicle auctions on both Monday, 23 November (cars) and Tuesday, 24 November (vans), albeit in a revised format, and is calling for donations of running cars and vans, regardless of age, shape and size, with or without an MoT, from dealers across Sussex, Hampshire and Surrey.
Different to previous years, the auctions will purely feature vehicles and will only be accessible to SVA trade customers either bidding online or in limited numbers on site.
However, to provide a platform to enable local businesses and the public to join in, SVA is seeking donations as pledges to pay for the following: £50 pays for one-hour hydrotherapy; £285 pays for one-hour care; £25 pays for phone calls to struggling families; £50 pays for PPE masks, gloves, and aprons; and £70 pays for nurse home visit
Catherine Stone, SVA’s business development manager who has led the campaign since SVA began supporting the charity in 2011, said: “Our 10th year of supporting The Chestnut Tree House comes under very different circumstances during such unprecedented times.
“As individuals and businesses, a like we recognise just how tough it is for everyone right now but at a time when they probably need us most, we wanted to continue our support of CTH. We hope that may inspire others amongst our community and beyond to do the same. Any support – on matter how big or small – is welcome.”
