Volvo reports rising sales

Volvo Cars has reported a 7.2% increase in global sales during August, with volumes rising in Europe, China and the US.

The company sold 51,239 cars during the month, bringing sales to 383,492 cars for the year. This represents a 13.5% decline from the same period last year.

Sales in Europe reached 17,458 cars in August, up 4.9%, the figure was 15,835 in China, representing a growth of 1.5%, while in the US sales grew 12.9% to reach 10,378 cars.
