Europe sales lag behind China and US
Volvo sales in June were down just 2.1% compared to the same month in 2019, driven by a spike in demand in the US and China, although European sales continue to struggle.
US sales in June were up 4.5% per cent compared with the same month last year, and they were up 14.1% in China.
However, Volvo sold 28,277 cars in Europe in June, down 6.5% compared to the same month last year, with sales down 29.5% year-on-year.
Across the year Volvo has sold 269,962 cars worldwide, down 20.8% compared with the same period last year.
