Equipment sales ‘back in alignment’
Absolute Alignment has reported that sales in May reached pre-lockdown figures.
The UK supplier of four-wheel alignment equipment has adapted the way it works to adhere to all government guidelines put in place due to the Covid-19 pandemic, to protect customers and staff.
In addition, the company has increased its amount of storage space, so that its new stock of equipment arriving can be quarantined for a minimum of 72 hours before being moved, transported to customers or installed.
Chris Dear, technical director, said: “We are following all guidelines set out by the government, and operating responsibly while providing the best service possible to all our customers.
“In order to limit customer contact, we have uploaded to our website all of our demo and training videos – making them openly available in order to reduce the need for actual physical demonstrations of our equipment in workshops across the country. This has decreased the amount we need to travel, and it’s not only making it easier for us to comply with guidelines but it’s also making us more time and fuel efficient – with the positive impact on the environment being an added bonus.
“Our technical team is also available on the phone to talk potential customers through the virtual demonstrations of our equipment. We have had a lot of positive feedback with regards to this and our training videos, and an increased amount of customer contact via social media.
“There have been many positives to finding new ways of working due to lockdown, and I’m sure we will continue with many of our refreshed initiatives on an on-going basis,” Dear added.
