Aston Martin to cut 500 jobs
Aston Martin has announced 500 job losses as it tries to reduce costs by £10m.
The company is also going to reduce production and remove non-critical expenditure in areas such as supply chain numbers, site footprint, marketing and travel.
A company statement said: “Aston Martin is also reducing costs and removing non-critical expenditure in other areas, including contractor numbers, site footprint, marketing and travel.
“Aston Martin will shortly launch a consultation process on proposals to reduce employee numbers by up to 500, reflecting lower than originally planned production volumes and improved productivity across the business.”
The news comes a week after Tobias Moers replaced Andy Palmer as CEO.
