‘We are back – Covid-19 hasn’t broken us’
The Bodycentre in Norwich has produced a video highlighting all the safety measures it has taken to assuage customer concerns and protect staff as it returns to trading.
Director Sam Elwin said: “We are back, Covid-19 hasn’t broken us.”
However, he said the lockdown period has given the business an opportunity to introduce a range of new practices to ensure the safety of customers and colleagues.
“We are extremely driven to be back, but this terrible period has given us time to look closely at our business and our processes to keep everyone safe,” Elwin said.
These changes include offering customers a precise drop-off time, placing hand sanitisers inside and outside the building, disinfecting keys and sealing them in safe bags, introducing two-metre signs and clear screens in the front office, ensuring vehicles are disinfected on arrival on departure, while only permitting two customers in the office at one time.
Meanwhile, all technicians at the Volvo-approved site have been provided with their own PPE and hand-sanitiser, while breaks will be staggered and the workshop layout has been designed to ensure social distancing. The premises will also undergo regular deep cleans.
Elwin added: “We’re taking this extremely seriously to make it easy for our customers to pop in and see us and make it safe for our team.”
