Motorpoint backs derby youth

Motorpoint has partnered with The Careers & Enterprise Company to become a “Cornerstone Employer”.

This is part of its continuing commitment to helping young people in Derby prepare for the world of work.

This move will see Motorpoint investing resources as well as working with other employers to support school and colleges across the city.

As a Cornerstone Employer, Motorpoint will work with The Careers & Enterprise Company and the Derby Enterprise Adviser Network, a network of volunteers from the world of business, to ensure young people have access to meaningful engagement with employers as well as access to an array of experiences.

This will also include encouraging members of staff to become “Enterprise Advisers” in order to pass their business knowledge on to the next generation.

Cat Mosely, HR director at Motorpoint, said: “Motorpoint has always had a strong commitment to supporting young people in Derby. We’re delighted as an organisation to have the opportunity to join the other Cornerstone Employers in leading the development and delivery of the Derby Opportunity Area Business Plan and would encourage others to become involved in this excellent work helping young people move successfully from education into the world of work.”
