Roadmender Asphalt lends support during pandemic

Sheffield-based Roadmender Asphalt is providing asphalt to local councils and utilities so they can continue repairing potholes and utility assets during the coronavirus pandemic.

With some asphalt plants now closing across the country, local councils and utilities will rely on smaller asphalt recycling plants as a way to make their own asphalt to carry out emergency repairs to potholes, leaks and bursts.

Harry Pearl, CEO at Sheffield based Roadmender Asphalt, said: “While we currently have 75 Roadmender recyclers and reclaimers in use with various clients across the UK, we are doing everything we can to make more machines available and hope to have a further 25 more ready for action by the end of next week.”
