SYNETIQ recovers more than 1,000 vehicles
SYNETIQs major incident team has recovered over 700 vehicles from South Wales motor traders, with severe weather continuing to cause havoc across the UK.
The fourth storm of the year hit Pontypridd, South Wales last weekend, when over a month’s worth of rain fell in 48 hours, leaving many businesses in the motor repair sector underwater.
SYNETIQ received notification from its insurance client that several policy holders were in need of urgent assistance. It immediately deployed a fleet of vehicle transporters, forklift trucks, telehandlers and sweepers and by the end of the week it had cleared four primary sites, recovering over 300 vehicles using over 100 transporter journeys.
Over 100 tonnes of river silt and debris has also been moved from forecourts, enabling policy holders to continue repairs to the property.
