Solus to open three new sites

Solus Accident Repair Centres will open three new sites in the next two years. This is part of a three-year strategy to equip the network for industry changes.

Solus is the nationwide network of accident repair bodyshops owned and operated by Aviva. It has announced that the lease has been signed for a new accident repair centre in Bolton, marking the first step in their ambitious plans.

Located on the Logistics North Business Park, the 25,000 sqft site will open in April next year creating 42 new jobs for the area.

Simon Smith, chief operating officer, said: “This is an exciting time for the motor body repair industry. To be involved in a sector which is seeing this amount of change is a once in a lifetime opportunity. We are building a flagship site, which has an eye on the future, within a brand-new building on a high-profile estate.

“We were attracted to Bolton as it is one of the largest towns in the UK, which means there is a wealth of talent in close proximity to us. Bolton has great access to major motorway networks, making it perfectly situated for us. We believe now is the right time for us to grow our model and extend our footprint into the North West, West Yorkshire and the East Midlands to complement our existing sites.”
