TruckEast retains safety certificate

TruckEast Limited has again achieved Alcumus SafeContractor accreditation for health and safety in the workplace.

The commercial dealer employs just over 400 people supporting a variety of industries. With 13 Scania dealerships, 1 Isuzu service centre, vehicle maintenance units and trailer maintenance sites, health and safety standards are crucial.

Compliance and HR general manager, Helen Moore said, ‘Delivering the highest possible standards of health and safety is taken very seriously at TruckEast. Our aim as a business is to keep our customers moving and our health and safety standards and procedures enable us to do this in the safest possible way for all involved.’

As part of the accreditation scheme, TruckEast underwent a thorough vetting process that examined health and safety procedures and historical records over the last 12 months. Gemma Archibold, director of Alcumus SafeContractor, added, ‘Major organisations simply cannot afford to run the risk of employing contractors who are not able to prove that they have sound health and safety policies in place. SafeContractor plays a vital role in supporting clients to meet their compliance needs.’
