Lookers backs World Transplant Games
Motor retailer Lookers is the official vehicle sponsor for this summer’s World Transplant Games in NewcastleGateshead.
Lookers is providing 11 World Transplant Games 2019 branded vehicles that will be used by World Transplant Games Federation members, as well as to assist local organisers travelling between venues and transport equipment in the run up to and during the Games. The first vehicle has already been handed over to Games delivery partner MLS.
Several of Lookers’ North East franchises are working together to support the Games and will provide a dedicated point of contact and service assistance at each dealership.
In August NewcastleGateshead will welcome around 2,500 participants from 60 countries to take place in the World Transplant Games. Between 17–24 August participants from as young as six through to 84 will complete in a range of sporting events across venues in NewcastleGateshead and Sunderland.
Andrew Davison, head of business at Volkswagen at Lookers Van Centre Newcastle, said, ‘We are extremely proud to be supporting the 2019 World Transplant Games, which promises to be the event of the summer here in the North East. Those taking part should be very proud of themselves and we wish them the best of luck in their training and preparations.
