Gumtree launches new online motors option

Gumtree has launched a new packaged advertising proposition across its automotive portfolio. This new offering is the first of a series of commercial announcements following eBay’s acquisition of Motors.co.uk to strengthen Gumtree’s motors proposition.

The new advertising offering will provide access to a combined audience of 12 million unique visitors across Gumtree, Motors.co.uk and RAC Cars[. Advertisers will have the unique ability to combine first-party life-stage data with motor buying intent, across the vertical motors sites and horizontal ecommerce experiences, enabling them to directly target consumers at various stages of the purchase funnel.

Phill Jones, head of motors said, ‘The combination of the Motors.co.uk and RAC Cars together with Gumtree’s display advertising expertise and technology will provide agencies and brands with exciting new opportunities to reach in-market car buyers.

‘The integrated offer allows us to leverage extensive, meaningful data for our advertisers, ultimately providing them with a deeper understanding of different consumer segments across each platform. The motoring specialist elements of the portfolio, combined with the significant audience of Gumtree, provide key insights to further improve advertising effectiveness. Consumers on our sites are in ‘shopping’ mode and are receptive to relevant, timely adverts.  This improved proposition delivers additional value to advertisers whilst also improving the usefulness of our sites to consumers.’
