Data positive from Automechanika Birmingham

Automechanika Birmingham underlined the critical role data is playing in the automotive aftermarket, with data management companies reporting huge interest in their services.

TecAlliance was one such company, claiming that its stand attracted customers and potential customers from all its industry sectors.

Shaun Greasley, TecAlliance’s general manager UK & Ireland, regional sales director for Central & Eastern Europe, said, ‘Inevitably, there is always a little trepidation on the eve of a show, particularly as an event such as Automechanika Birmingham is a big commitment in terms of time and resource. However, I’m delighted to say that it exceeded our expectations and we are very pleased with the results.

‘From a TecAlliance perspective, we had a lot of new and updated products that we were able to demonstrate and this meant that we had something for customers from all of our business sectors.

‘The show also allowed us to demonstrate that TecAlliance also provides solutions for the workshop, with products such as RMI data, which is a vital resource and gives access to service times, OE pricing and maintenance and repair procedures, for example. In addition, we could address the needs of fleet managers who need to accurately forecast ongoing maintenance costs, and via Order Manager, our order-to-invoice eCommerce platform, show how businesses can save both time and money, through paperless transactions and stock control.

‘In short, the event was an excellent opportunity to showcase the integrated solutions and consulting services that allow TecAlliance to effectively support businesses throughout the automotive aftermarket.’
