Eminox gets the all clear

Emissions reduction specialist Eminox Limited has become the first UK aftermarket manufacturer to receive UNECE Regulation 49 certification for its Euro VI diesel particulate filter (DPF) product range.

The UNECE certification confirms Eminox aftermarket products meet strict regulations to reduce emissions of gaseous and particulate pollutants from compression-ignition and positive ignition engines. Certification has been awarded following months of predetermined testing at an independent European facility to ensure that the Eminox-manufactured DPFs meet stringent Euro VI emissions limits throughout their lifecycles.

Fleet operators and truck owners can now receive ‘like for like’ products, either same or next day, from dedicated distributors across Europe, with vehicle downtime kept to a minimum.

Neil Koston, aftermarket manager for Eminox, said, ‘A malfunctioning DPF is rightly regarded as a health and safety-critical item, just like vehicle glass, seatbelts and airbags. However, it doesn’t just impact the driver, but also the public, by reducing air quality through increased emissions. This working DPF is a vital component to every Euro VI-compliant vehicle.

‘As well as having received UNECE certification, our Aftermarket DPFs are Block Exemption Regulation (BER) compliant, which means replacing a blocked or damaged DPF with an Eminox DPF will not conflict with any manufacturer’s warranty.

‘Whilst DPF cleaning is an alternative option, your vehicle could be off road for up to five days. With an Eminox replacement DPF, this vehicle downtime can be reduced to just 24 hours.’
