Fix adds VMs to portfolio

Two Fix Auto UK franchisees have added three additional vehicle manufacturer approvals to the network’s portfolio.

Fix Auto Nottingham has gained official approval to repair BMW and Mini vehicles, three weeks after receiving notification it had succeeded in obtaining the Volvo status, while Fix Auto Dagenham, who also received Volvo status in 2018, has been appointed by Nissan as one of its approved repair centres.

For Carl Flint, owner of Fix Auto Nottingham, his Volvo success was the culmination of two years liaising with the vehicle manufacturer after the business was originally nominated by local Volvo dealer, Bristol Street Volvo of Derby in 2016.  The success with BMW is the result of six months of work and investment.

In June last year, the East Midlands-based repairer who also has approvals for the entire Volkswagen Group, Alfa Romeo, Fiat, Chrysler, Jeep and Abarth together with Citroen, Peugeot, Isuzu and Subaru, became the latest Fix Auto UK franchisee to reveal a major investment programme that included a £50,000 ADAS calibration system, along with a redesign of his bodyshop that also saw the installation of new vehicle lifts and the creation of additional workbays.

Carl said, ‘I am proud of our team. We have invested in additional training and specialist tools dedicated to Volvo and passing this demanding audit shows we have achieved their standards. However, we are continuing to invest in further training to ensure we have the most up to date knowledge of the brand vehicles.  I would also like to thank Toni Buckley of Volvo Derby and Simon Asbury of Volvo UK for their support.

‘Our vision is to be a highly respected and caring organisation demonstrating our repair expertise by holding vehicle manufacturer approvals. We are constantly developing a team who are striving for excellence, working together with trust and respect, to provide exemplary service to our customers and stakeholders and utilising the latest technology to safely repair vehicles of the future. Becoming a BMW approved repairer is another fantastic step on this journey and is a testament to the quality of our team.’

Paul Cunningham, commercial director for Fix Auto Dagenham said, ‘As a business we have never focused ourselves on gaining VM approvals but that is all changing within the market. Being successful with the two we have applied for speaks volumes for the team here and the business.’
