ACIS sails the deal
ACIS, the distribution network to the automotive accident repair market, has made its maiden offshore voyage with a deal to service the TrustFord Group’s Channel Island dealerships.
The new arrangement is an extension of the UK-wide contract ACIS has in place with TrustFord, the world’s largest dedicated Ford dealer group.
TrustFord owns 65 UK-wide dealerships, with ACIS supplying 13 Ford approved accident repair centres from Northern Ireland down to the Channel Islands.
Graham O’Neill, CEO of ACIS said, ‘Working on small islands such as Jersey and Guernsey can provide a logistical challenge for bodyshops. Like everyone else, they need to manage their stock of paint and consumables without running out. Add into this the lead time of shipping to the islands and you potentially have a problem.
‘It’s in a scenario like this where ASCRIBE really comes into its own. It is working fantastically well for us here and demonstrates the power and efficiency of the product.’
Richard Crawley, national bodyshop support manager for TrustFord said, ‘Working offshore from the UK mainland provides us with a unique challenge with regards to stock levels, and we’ve been impressed with how ASCRIBE has helped us overcome this.
‘It’s an extension of what first attracted us to ACIS – an ability to reduce costs, improve efficiency and offer a better service to our customers.’
