VW selling off non-critical assets
Volkswagen is working on deals to sell non-core assets accounting for as much as 20% of the German carmaker’s annual revenues.
The Wall Street Journal has reported that VW has put together a team to sell parts of the business not considered critical.
However, its proposed sale of Ducati motorcycles has been put on hold after resistance from German trade unions and internal rifts on strategy.
The paper quoted CEO Mattias Muller as saying, ‘The list has not been put away on the shelf. But we’re not going to let anyone tell us which decision to make.’
