RMI hits £150,000 milestone
RMI Bodyshops (NAB & VBRA) has reached a milestone in its debt recovery service – recouping £150,000 in 2016 on behalf of members, without any commissions being deducted.
The sums have been recovered from major insurers, accident management companies and private individuals, and it is estimated that the service has saved members over £25,000 in fees and commissions – as well as recovering long overdue debts.
RMI Bodyshops member Russ Adlem of Caversham Coachworks commented, ‘We had a few old debts that we were trying to recover, but we struggled getting a response from the debtor. We sent our debts to RMI Debt Recovery Service and they took it from there. The Debt Recovery Team were able to recover all debts within four weeks. This is a fantastic service and well worth being a member of the Association. They recovered more than the cost of membership without us having to pay any commission like you have to with other companies.’
Frank Harvey, head of RMI Bodyshop operations added, ‘This service was introduced in January 2016 and has since recovered a significant amount of money for our members. This goes to show that our members are getting a real benefit. The debt recovery service charges no commission, so our members can recover all costs relating to the debt. We can provide a service to produce court papers on behalf of the member, which incurs a small fee. For cases closed with a positive outcome, 98% of debt value has been recovered against the original debt.’
