Traffic halts travel plans
A survey by OSV Ltd has revealed that motorists are being put off travelling over the Easter period with many choosing to avoid driving altogether.
Almost 50% of British drivers said they will not be driving over the Easter period this year, with the biggest reason being because of traffic concerns.
This compares to 80% of motorists who revealed that they were planning to drive over the Easter period back in 2014. This year just 47% of the 1,000 motorists surveyed said they would be driving the car to either visit friends and family, or take a holiday. Of those that admitted they were avoiding making car journeys, 49% said it was because of traffic concerns.
Some 16 million car journeys are expected to take place between Good Friday and Easter Monday.
