Open invitation to support industry showcase
With less than a week to go to the inaugural AutoRaise/REALexperience Industry Showcase Event the organisers have extended an open invitation to anyone involved in the industry to attend.
Taking place at Rye Street Group, Bishops Stortford, AutoRaise/REALexperience are encouraging anyone attending to bring along their own teenagers to help promote the industry as a career destination.
All local secondary schools and youth organisations have been contacted and there is already confirmed attendance from over 50 people – teenagers and parents who are interested in assessing the vehicle repair industry as a career destination.
Event organiser, Bob Linwood commented, ‘Working with the schools has been a rewarding and eye-opening experience. They have been very willing to promote the event but this is such a unique career guidance initiative that we are all learning from how best to get real engagement with this demographic. I’m really pleased that parents are coming along too as parental involvement is a key area that AutoRaise want to focus on when nurturing young people before they enter the industry. This first event forms the blueprint for all future events. Much has been learned already and the evening promises to be a real success.’
Bill Duffy, managing director of hosts Rye Street Group, said ‘The support we have had from our suppliers and business partners has been overwhelming. We can’t thank everyone enough for the support we have received and this will be the first of many future events.’
This ground-breaking event is being held between 5.30pm and 8.00pm on Wednesday 24 February. To register your attendance for the event click here.
