ECP makes it 200
Euro Car Parts (ECP) has opened its 200th branch, located in Manchester, as it continues to fulfill its rapid expansion plans.
Manchester (Moss Lane) is one of ECP’s new generation hubs. Providing approximately 180 deliveries per day to Whitefield, Bury, Radcliffe, Swinton and Cheetham Hill, the hub will initially be occupied by 38 staff, increasing to 50 within one year. Totalling 60,000sqft (5,574sqm) over three floors, the Manchester hub will take ECP’s total property portfolio to over 5,250,000sqft (487,725sqm).
Sukhpal Singh Ahluwalia, founder and chairman of ECP, said, ‘By 2018 we will have 20 new generation hubs strategically located across England supplying over 230 branches three to four times per day. This network is essential for us to continue to provide an unrivalled, same day delivery service to all of our customers.’
Each hub holds in excess of 36,000 lines of stock, covering 97% of all customer demand. From 2017, all of ECP’s new generation hubs will be served from its new 1,000,000sqft (92,900sqm) national distribution centre, currently being developed at Birch Coppice, Tamworth.
