Valspar Automotive was the talk of the annual SEMA Show in Las Vegas recently as attendees stopped by Valspar’s booths to meet several reality TV show stars whilst learning about Valspar’s brand lineup.

‘SEMA is an incredible place to connect with new and longtime customers,’ said Laura Yerkey, marketing director for Valspar Automotive. ‘We wanted to create memorable experiences for everyone who stops by our booths while also showing off our newly expanded family of automotive refinishing and custom brands.’

Valspar’s custom brand, House of Kolor, hosted Richard Rawlings, owner of Gas Monkey Garage and star of the Discovery Channel’s ‘Fast N’ Loud’, and legendary customiser, John D’Agostino, owner of Celebrity Custom. House of Kolor’s creator, famed Jon Kosmoski, also made appearances throughout the show. Danny ‘The Count’ Koker, Kevin Mack and Ryan Evans, stars of the History Channel’s hit show ‘Counting Cars’, met with fans in Valspar’s Refinish booth.

Attendees had plenty of opportunities to learn about the Valspar Automotive family of brands. The business had four separate exhibits — House of Kolor custom refinish, Valspar Refinish, USC and Valspar Automotive/PlastiKote — featuring a wide array of products, six painted vehicles and motorcycles, videos and demonstrations. Valspar also launched two new products at the show — the Dominator Urethane Truck Bed Liner and a new Matrix Performance Basecoat. In addition, Valspar’s Charlie Whitaker, a technical service representative, presented ‘Optimizing Your Shop Sales Mix’, an educational session for business owners.

The SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) Show draws 60,000+ buyers from around the world and 2,300 exhibitors to the Las Vegas Convention Center.
