School of Thought welcomes A1 ADAS Group as partner

School of Thought Automotive has announced that A1 ADAS Group has become its latest industry partner.
A not-for-profit organisation, School of Thought Automotive works to raise awareness around the sector and highlight the varied career roles available.
A1 ADAS Group is supporting this mission both as a School of Thought partner and through its own Automotive Work Experience programme.
Managing director Iain Molloy said: “We all know how diverse a career path in the automotive aftermarket can be. However, it’s a huge job to get that across to young people and those who advise them.
“A1 is the perfect example of an automotive business that doesn’t really involve getting oil on your hands. We have roles for those who want to work with the latest technology – and maybe even progress to board level.”
Diverse roles
Molloy continued: “Adam, our operations director, worked alongside me during the pandemic to help out. He was only 18 at the time and headed for university. He never left. The work experience ignited an aptitude and passion for the complex world of ADAS and diagnostics; one he may have never discovered otherwise.
“Even though he’s still only 23, Adam has a reputation for solving difficult jobs that experienced technicians twice his age struggle with. He’s on the board and playing an integral role in the group’s growth.
“Whilst getting young people through the door and growing your own talent isn’t a new concept, it’s not easy for our sector. That’s why I want to support School of Thought Automotive and stand beside everyone in the industry who’s passionate about doing the same.”
Dave Reece, who runs School of Thought Automotive, said:
“By partnering with companies like A1 ADAS Group, we’ll be able to reach out to more young people and show them just how fantastic our industry really is.”
