Rowley ready for ‘Walking the Sahara Desert’ challenge

Executive director of the NBRA and VBRA Martyn Rowley will be Walking the Sahara Desert next month to raise valuable funds for automotive charity Ben.

He is joining 10 other industry colleagues to take part in the five-day, 100km Industry Leader Challenge across Morocco.

Walking the Sahara Desert will see five automotive teams trekking up to 10 hours a day in temperatures above 35 Deg C, each raising at least £20,000 for the automotive charity.

Rowley said: “On 26 February I’ll embark on a life-changing challenge – walking 100km across the Sahara Desert to raise funds for Ben, the incredible charity that supports so many within the motor trade. This five-day trek through Morocco’s breathtaking yet unforgiving landscape will be a true test of endurance, with peaks, gorges, dunes, and oases along the way. At night, we’ll sleep under Africa’s star-strewn skies and experience traditional Berber hospitality.”

Every contribution counts – whether it’s a donation to our fundraising page or simply sharing this post to spread the word. Your support means the world to us and will help BEN continue its vital work, quietly making a huge difference for those in need.”
