Nominations for the Bodyshop Awards 2025 and 30 Under 30: Rising Stars HAVE NOW CLOSED. Behind the scenes the Bodyshop Magazine team is starting to sort through the many hundreds of submissions from across all sectors of the UK accident repair industry.
Bodyshop editor Simon Wait said: “Thank you to everybody who has entered the competitions or nominated a colleague or business. I am delighted to report that as an industry you have shattered all previous records in nearly every category, including our 30 Under 30 entries.”

The Powered by Vizion – Bodyshop Thatcham Panel and Paint Technician and Apprentice Awards, the Powered by asTech – Bodyshop Thatcham Advanced Technologies Technician Award, and the VDA Award presented by the IAEA, have once again proved very popular, especially the apprentice categories which celebrate the repairers of the future.
As the Bodyshop Awards entries close, Wait continued: “What is really exciting is the number of young apprentices who have been nominated in our Apprentice MET category, which is returning this year after a two-year break and has attracted dozens of entries.
“The next step will be for us to contact every individual and every business that has been nominated, as we complete the Awards evaluation process through the summer. For the apprentices, technicians and VDAs, that will mean online testing and hands-on practical assessments at Thatcham Research in late July. For the other Awards categories we will be gathering information, data and supporting evidence to be presented to our independent expert panel of industry judges.
Brightest achievers
“On top of this, Bodyshop Magazine’s 30 Under 30 initiative in partnership with 3M recognises the brightest young achievers in collision repair. Since it was started in 2017, it has grown to become a major celebration within the oldest and most important awards programme in the UK repair sector, which has been running since 1997,” Wait added.
