PAVE highlights benefits of digital vehicle inspections

AI-based vehicle inspection platform PAVE has highlighted the benefits of digital vehicle inspections to both dealers and customers.
Digital vehicle inspections enable users, via a smartphone, to take guided photos of their vehicles and then upload them.
Apart from quickly and easily identifying a vehicle’s condition, enabling dealers to make initial estimates of refurbishment and potential repair costs, the technology also allows retailers to list new vehicles immediately while enabling customers to view vehicles for sale without having to visit dealerships for physical appraisals.
Phil Deegan, UK head of business development at PAVE, said:
“The success of online vehicle shopping hinges on trust in the buying process. By allowing sellers to submit inspection reports through tools like PAVE, we enhance transparency and trust.
“Virtual inspections also enable retailers to provide accurate trade-in quotes, plan vehicle sales, and reduce the time it takes to sell a vehicle. Online marketplaces that fail to offer this convenience risk losing sales due to the need for offline inspections and price negotiations. Digital inspections provide the necessary convenience, transparency, and trust to boost online sales.”
