NBRA rallies to help repairers hit by EDAM Group crash

The National Body Repair Association is calling on repairers to contact the NBRA if they have been financially affected by EDAM Group Ltd, Easi-Drive Ltd, and Credit Repair Ltd entering into administration.

EDAM Group was placed into administration on 6 January 2025 and the NBRA has since taken legal advice before entering into dialogue with Interpath, the appointed administrators for the businesses.

Martyn Rowley, executive director of the NBRA, said: “To reduce the risk of financial distress to the repair industry, it would be of assistance if any repairers who have unpaid invoices, vehicles still on site, or repairs that have not yet commenced could urgently make contact with the NBRA to provide details.

“This will enable us to collate information and quickly determine the best way forward on behalf of the industry as a co-ordinated and centralised response. We can then go back to the administrators with one big hit,” he added.

Affected bodyshops, both NBRA members and non-members, should email [email protected] or answer the following questions through the EDAM Administration Repairer Survey set up by the NBRA.

Survey questions

  1. Do you have outstanding unpaid invoices for work that was instructed by EDAM?
  2. How many vehicles are involved and what are their registration numbers?
  3. What is the value of each invoice outstanding?
  4. What was the date of instruction?
  5. What were the completion dates of repair?
  6. Do you have any vehicles still on site?
  7. Do you have any parts on site and BID still to be arranged or unfinished vehicles?
  8. Any other debt relating to EDAM?
  9. Any other comments?

Rowley concluded: “Answering these questions should give us enough detail to get a clearer picture so we are better armed when discussing the issue with the administrators.”
